Anti-Bullying Week 2025

Anti-Bullying Week – Starting 10th November 2025
We are excited to announce that our school will be taking part in Anti-Bullying Week from Monday 10th November 2025. This is an important opportunity for us to come together as a community and promote kindness, respect, and understanding.
Throughout the week, pupils will take part in a range of activities designed to:
- Celebrate individuality and diversity.
- Learn how to recognise and challenge bullying behaviour.
- Understand the importance of speaking up and supporting others.
The theme for this year is “The Power of Good”, reminding us that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Together, we can create a positive environment where everyone feels safe and valued.
We will kick off the week with Odd Socks Day on Monday – a fun way to celebrate what makes us unique! Please encourage your child to wear their brightest, most colourful socks.
Some of the other activities in the week are as follows:
- Assemblies: Whole-school and year group assemblies on kindness and respect.
- UNCRC Focus: Classroom work on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
- Competitions: Creative opportunities for pupils to express anti-bullying messages. (poem about friendship)
- Engaging Class Activities: Linked to personal development and wellbeing.
- Closing Assembly (Friday): Reflect on the week’s learning and celebrate achievements.
- Workshops: Targeted sessions for specific year groups (e.g., Year 5).
- ICT Focus: Lessons on cyberbullying and e-safety.
- -Kindness Wall / Shout-Out Board - Staff and pupils add messages celebrating kind acts.
- -School Kindness Award - Celebrate children who go above and beyond to make others feel included.
A Message for Parents
- Your support is vital in helping us create a positive and inclusive school environment. Please take some time to talk to your child about what bullying means, why it’s never acceptable, and how they can speak up if they see or experience it. Encourage them to think about how their words and actions can spread kindness and positivity. Together, we can harness the Power of Good to make a real difference.
