Anti bullying Week 2018

Anti bullying week 2018

Get involved and help #stopbullying

Anti bullying Week 2018 is being held between the 12th and 16th November and is organised by Anti-Bullying Alliance. This year the theme is 'Choose Respect'.

As you know the effects of bullying can have a massive impact on all individuals, whether that is at school, work, college or socially. Anti bullying week is a great way to get involved, take a stand against bullying and raise awareness in your school, college or organisation. Bullying doesn't just affect children but adults too

It is BLUE Monday today so all children and staff will be wearing blue to symbolise the importance of getting rid of bullying across the country in schools. There will be assemblies throughout the week on bullying and there will also be a closing assembly on the Friday (The showcase) where each class will show work. All parents are welcome and during this week we will be linking anti bullying to lots of different subjects in the broader curriculum such as P4C, PSHE, English and  ICT.

During this week there will be more information about what we have been doing as a school and there will be children’s work going on the blog as well to celebrate this very important week.

Finally please try to promote the competition entry to your child at home, it is due in on Thursday at 3pm, the school council will be judging this.

To create a blog post, poster or advert on the theme of anti-bullying (Choose Respect) This could take the form of a story, article, poem, photograph or video and can be added to the ‘Anti-Bullying’ page on the school blog from next week.
